Meet Counselor Joe

Joseph D. Hayes, MS, LPC, NCC

Counselor Joe has provided professional counseling in Mount Pleasant since 1998. His approach is calm, structured, and client-centered — walking alongside people through some of the more difficult seasons of life.

He co-authored an anger-management textbook adopted for use at Texas A&M University, and his clinical observations on litigation-related stress have been published and distributed through major media platforms.

Contact your VA provider and request a Community Care referral for outpatient mental health services with Joseph Hayes Counseling. In-person care is available in Mount Pleasant; telehealth may be available for eligible Texas and Louisiana residents.
